  • Is the Black color a shiny black or flat black?

    A. The InSinkErator STC in Black is glossy. There is also a Matte Black choice as well

  • is this a kit including a plug?

    A. The InSinkErator STC is the button only. STS00 or STSS0 is the kit which does include a button. STC button is for replacement or for a finish wanted that the kit doesnt come with.

  • is this just the 2 piece button as shown in the picture or does it include the air plunger? Is it metal or plastic?

    A. The InSinkErator STC is just the plastic air switch button.

  • the cover plate (trim) on the air button fell off and it got chewed up in the disposal. Can I get the tim piece only in brushed nickle or brushed stainless?

    A. The InSinkErator STC is available in both satin nickel and chrome, but not stainless.

Nice touch to have button right in granite I got this because I already had two light switches at my kitchen window. I definitely like how it looks (got the oil rubbed bronze replacement button) right on the granite. We aligned it with one of the pre-drilled holes in my sink. It's a very nice, finished look. Works well. I had the electrician and plumber install the materials, so I have no idea how easy it was. September 2, 2011

Air button Yes, definitely five stars on the metal (satin nickel). It looks great with stainless faucet. It is very easy to use. No, definitely no stars on the black plastic one which I returned for the metal. September 16, 2010
