I'm trying to match a hot water dispenser to my Danze stainless steel faucet. Do you know if this satin nickel finish matches the Danze stainless steel finish?
A. Danze uses Brushed Nickel and Stainless Steel interchangeably for their faucets. Every manufacturer has a different take on their Nickel tone. I would expect the In-Sink-Erator pearl quality to be a bit stronger and not have as much of a brush mark as the finish on the Danze. They will be close but not perfect matches.

Why is the InSinkErator F-GN1100 almost $200 less than the InSinkErator H-Wave-SS? The former has a filter; thus, more $$$ and should cost more.

so far, so good
works as advertised. build quality is good, although some (formerly) copper connections have been replaced with plastic (since our last version of eight years ago). rarely does this device represent a failure point--more commonly, the heating tank unit developes problems first. homes with untreated or high mineral-content water should install a whole-house filter/softener to prevent calcification/lime build-up on this faucet which will degrade its service life

THIRD REPLACMENT
Easy to install, works great for about a year then the handle flops around and the unit is worthless.
At this price the unit should last longer.

Good replacement for older faucet
Installed this faucet for a client as a replacement to an older InSinkErator faucet that had been well used. This one looks better and works great!

Easy installation. Functions well. Only complaint is hose length; limits install location. Had to extend all lines to get past garbage disposal.

Valve sticks open
I am searching for a replacement faucet/valve for this model because the valve on the current one sticks in the open position. Everything under the counter works fine. After several years the valve now gets stuck in the open position and the water streams out until manually shut off.
Maybe there is a simple fix to my problem. I have not been able to find it, even after taking the valve apart and trying to lube the piston that sticks.

Replacement faucet
We needed to get a replacement for the original faucet which stopped working. Just like the old one. I hope it lasts more than 3 years, though.

Pricey, Questionable Quality
This product is very pricey when you consider that you must also purchase a heater to use with it. The price of the heater is roughly the same as the faucet so by the time you are done you have to shell out close to $500. The first faucet I received was defective and had to be returned. I am hopeful that the second one will work out. I have installed 4 of these in my home over the last 15 years. My family loves the convenience but they only last 3-4 years. I wish there was an alternative manufacture that built with a higher level of quality.

LOVE this appliance
I absolutely love having an instant hot water tap. Our tank did go out after three years (original plastic tank) and warranty service offered us a stainless steel replacement tank. Yes, the replacement tank was about $200 or so, but less than a new dispenser. This was a lot less than the online prices I would find.
And I just love instant hot water!!!!

Do NOT Purchase
We built our home in 2002. We had the InSinkErator hot water dispenser installed. We LOVED it. BUT, after a year, the tank went out. I called InSinkErator and they sent us a new one. Had that tank for a year and it went out. We got another one. Recently, the faucet started leaking. I called InSinkErator. They told me they didn't sell them directly anymore. I found FaucetDirect on the web and they had the faucet I needed. It was sent promptly. I got a plumber to install it. It started dripping immediately. The manual said that could be do to obstruction or low water pressure. We do not have low water pressure and there was no obstruction. So, I've got this brand new faucet that does not work. The hot water dispenser is a WONDERFUL appliance...just stay away from this particular model.
