can it be turned upside down?

Can the box be placed anywhere along the back plate or does it have to be in the center?

does the mounting plate have to be mounted centered on the junction box? My junction box is not centered over the sink and I would like to slide the mounting plate a few inches left.

I have read the two questions asking if the box has to be centered with the back plate. The answers seem to contradict each other. I also have a box that is not centered over the sink. Can I use this type of fixture?
A. Thanks for your question. The Hinkley Lighting 5373 will be wired in the center you can suspend the wiring to mount off center, consult your electrician to see if your wiring will allow. Let me know if you have further questions.
