Product Reviews

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Five years - expected life? Our first hose failed after only 1.5 months of service. I bought this one as a spare since we have multiple showers with this hose (Hans Grohe replaced the defective hose). Our hose failed to stay connected to the barbed fitting at the showerhead. The hose is not crimped onto the fitting; it is only pushed onto the fitting. I heard from a customer service rep that these hoses usually last five years. When we bought the shower valve, we were hoping for a better lifetime than that. The flow restricter is in the showerhead; if Hans Grohe would place the flow restricter in the wall outlet then the house would have a lot less pressure and would be less likely to fail. I took out the flow restricter but I would rather have it in place.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Avoid this hose I will be the first to admit that this hose looks great. However, I am on my third one as it does not last. The connection that attaches to the shower head keeps blowing out. Notice I did not say pulling apart, as we seldom take it off of the mount. It is used by myself and my wife, so I know that there has not been anyone yanking on it. The connection just does not hold together. Buy it for looks, and you will have many years of frustration ahead of you.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from poor quality Returned it because though chrome which suggests metal (eg chrome on cars) it was plastic and cheap-looking. Returned it and bough Danze instead which was less expensive and all metal - outstanding quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Helpful Agent I requested a replacement for a Grohe and your agent recommended this product. Wer have used it for four weeks and it is better than the Grohe product. Your sales and service are terrific. I called a local dealer to get the product and they were not knowledgeable and said it would take 14 days to receive. I can see why so many local dealers are going out of business. Keep up the good work!! Alan

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasant Surprise I wasn't certain how well this hose would look with the Chroma Three Function Hand Shower, but it looks great. And, even better, the hose is much more functional and easier to clean than a tradition hose. I purchased both in Polished Brass.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Hose ever Why don't all hand showers use this hose - best looking, most flexible, with swivel connecter. Original was ugly, inflexible, and didn't swivel, which caused hose to eventually pop out - nothing but problems. Problem solved!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not pliable enough We had this hose installed as part of a Rainshower set. While it looks good, it is quite stiff and will not stay in position in the handshower holder. The shower keeps turning slightly so it won't spray exactly in the desired direction. We have a metal hose in our other shower which works perfectly. We are replacing this hose with the metal one. It's too bad one is not given a choice at time of ordering the shower system. For $800 it would be nice to get a hose that works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice hose This hose has a nice finish. It is smooth and sleek, not bulky and armored looking. It's also soft and flexible, not prone to kinking or twisting. Overall just what we wanted.
