Grohe recommends this for their Freehander. But I read here this is for hand shower. Will this work for Freehander and what do I need to rough in?
-
How fast will the temperature control compensate for flow changes in the hot or cold water supply lines?
A. The Grohe 34 182 and all mixing valves do not adjust for flow changes, unless they are severe, this compensation is called "Scald Guard". When you adjust a mixing valve you are adjusting the mixture of the water based on the current pressure, if that changes your temperature will change. If pressure drops suddenly and severely in one line, you will notice a significant drop in pressure as an internal piston chokes the flow of water on the other line, in order to prevent you from being burnt (or severely chilled).
