I have a new Grohe Soap Dispenser 28 857 SDO - Stainless. I wanted to confirm that I should only use dish soap in it (vice hand soap) as I believe the latter might clog it. Can you please confirm and tell me what type of soap I should be using in it? It looks great by the way.
A. The Grohe 28 857 can be used for a variety of liquid soaps and lotions. It is common that in the very tip of the dispenser it will form a bit of a clog because of it getting dried out by air. Using foaming soap may cause more clogging.

When you say deck mounted does that mean you cannot use it on a sink mount hole??
A. For the Grohe 28 857, deck mounted just means that it is installed through the counter. As long as the deck and the sink together are not thicker than 1-9/16" there shouldn't be a problem installing it through your sink mount hole.

Soap Leaks Guaranteed
I have 5 other Grohe products and purchased this one on the expectation of similar look, finish, style, function, etc..
However, the snap in conrrection between the plastic bottle and base holder DOES NOT HAVE THREADS or SEALS AND THEREFORE LEAKS - GUARANTEED MESSEY! Nice try Grohe but no banana. Went our and bought a Kraus which is all stainless c/w threads gaskets and presto - no soap leakage.

Grohe Soap Dispenser
The ordered dispenser was an exact replacement for one that was over ten years old. The dispenser installed easily, no headaches or surprises and works very well. The entire process with faucet direct was excellent. From the easy on-line ordering to the fact the product was delivered within three days (no extra charge), I could not be more pleased. I will be using faucet direct again soon.

Great looking-great company
I purchased a number of Grohe products for my bathrooms and kitchen. This soap dispenser is easy to install and refill. It matches the LadyLux kitchen faucet. Looks great. Thanks for the easy ordering on line and for answering my questions by phone. Shipped fast too!!.

worked for 8 years
I installed this model of dispenser about 8 years ago. It recently stopped working, and I was delighted that the same model was still available. I just dropped in the new part from the top, and left the rest of it in place. It was a bit pricey, but worth it to avoid all the aggravation of having to install a completely new one. Besides, it lasted 8 years and these days, that's pretty good!

Residential Products
GROHE provides the following warranties on its products to the original purchaser, installed in a residential application. This warranty is effective for all faucets sold after January 1, 1997.
Mechanical Warranty
A Limited Lifetime Warranty is provided on all mechanical parts to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns their home.
General Finish Warranty
A 5-Year Warranty is provided on all GROHE product finishes (except the InfinityFinishTM) to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.
InfinityFinishTM
A Lifetime Warranty is provided on all GROHE products with the InfinityFinish to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. At its option, GROHE will repair or replace any part or finish that proves to be defective in material and/or workmanship under normal installation, use and service.
To obtain warranty repair or replacement the faulty part or product is to be sent along with proof-of-purchase (original sales receipt) from the original consumer purchaser to:
