    5 Questions from the Community

    • If clearance is a factor for you then I would definitely go with a longer shower arm especially if being used with a rain shower head

Would it be better to use the 16" extended arm with this rainshower head as opposed to using the retro arm so that you will get more clearance away from your enclosure?

      A. If clearance is a factor for you then I would definitely go with a longer shower arm especially if being used with a rain shower head

    • It really is a combination of a few factors, psi in your house, size of shower head, and amount of nozzles. Generally speaking most houses run on at least 65 psi, more like 80 psi unless your on a well. An 8 inch head is going to have less pressure not matter how many nozzels you have compared to 6.25". I would go with what you plumber recommends as he has installed these before and has seen how in different installations pressure varies.

Hi I asked you a question about the pressure earlier and you told me that the regular valve works fine as long as nozzle size is under 150. This review says the pressure wasn't great. Also, my plumber said he's concerned with not using the upgraded valve in this model. He recommends that I not go over the 6.25 diameter. Are you saying that since this model is 120 nozzles, that the pressure will be fine? I really prefer the 8" shower head. So if I order the 8," and I am not happy with the pressure, am I stuck with it? Thanks.

    • It is more dependent on the amount on nozzles that the shower head has. Typically once you get over 150 nozzles which is when you start getting into the larger size rain shower heads does the pressure begin to go down.

What is the largest size shower head I can use with a regular valve and still have good water pressure?

    • The Grohe 28 375 is a stationary shower head.

does this grohe shower head swivel or stationary?

      A. The Grohe 28 375 is a stationary shower head.

does this showerhead grohe 28 375 swivel at all or is it completely stationary?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Grohe Rain Shower Installed this shower head along with the thermostatic valve and hand shower. I had the plumber take out the water saver in both. The Rain Shower is a bit of a disappointment, the water flow is not strong enough for those of us w/ long hair. If you are in a hurry (aren't we all?) this may not be the shower head for you. I do use the hand shower when time is a factor. My husband (short hair) loves it. I stayed at a friend's home and they installed the 16" rain shower in their guest bath. Wow, I was in and out in 6 minutes. I loved it and thought the Rain shower I purchased (smaller 10") would be similar in water strength, just smaller in diameter. The thermostatic valve is wonderful and it's wonderful to jump in the shower and it's always the same temperature. No problems w/ the hand shower, works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Rain Shower Head Just got to use this Grohe rain shower head and found it Very impressive. I was worried when I first ordered it that it would be a wimpy little rain sprinkle with all the water restrictions on output but this was impressive and I like it more then the Grohe 28 521 and 28 917 that I also got in my master bath shower. The water output is nice and it seems like the pressure is twice the amount as the other 2 that I got. Had plumber use 1 thermostatic valve for all 3 shower heads and each head has its own control valve. I used 3/4 in lines in and out of thermostatic valve that feed control valves that delivered water thru 1/2 in lines.
