    • What is the best height and location of the bar in a shower and tub situation please - i.e. should the bar be closer to the shower door or not? Also best bar height?

      A. The placement of the handshower varies based on the size of the shower and the height of people using it. You would want the showerhead to be roughly 5-8 ft off the ground.

      A. The Grohe 27 243 is made of brass. The attachment and shower head are going to be a brass coated plastic for ease of use since solid metal will be very heavy.

      A. The Grohe 27 243 works well in a standard size shower. It makes a great addition to any shower really. It can be added to your exsisting shower ans shower head with a shower arm diverter or used as the shower head.

    Grohe For the money it is a good buy. I replaced an older unit. It was 15 years old and one of the plastic caps had broken and it was starting to look aged. February 25, 2010
    Nice shower head, very plastic-y I ordered all of my faucets (eg, Grohe 32 138) from Grohe, because I know they have a very good reputation. The Grohe 32 138 faucet was very heavy and solid feeling. I had ordered originally the Grohe 35 009 Single Handle Tub and Shower Trim with Single Function Showerhead from the Concetto Series, and decided I wanted a) a hand shower b) the diverter valve to be on the temp-control thing and c) a different tub spout. The shower head that came with the 35 009 was heavy and solid feeling like the faucet. So I got this, and got the Grohe 19 492 shower trim with valve, and a Toto Soiree spout. This hand shower is definitely NOT like the other Grohe products I ordered. It is very light weigh, I do not think it is Chrome, or even metal for that matter. I haven't installed it, so will revise this review then. Am not sure if the more expensive Grohe hand shower sets would have been better (this one was significantly cheaper than the others). All and all it's not bad. It doesn't look terrible, but was a bit surprising. November 18, 2009

    Grohe Limited Lifetime Warranty

    Residential Products
    GROHE provides the following warranties on its products to the original purchaser, installed in a residential application. This warranty is effective for all faucets sold after January 1, 1997.

    Mechanical Warranty
    A Limited Lifetime Warranty is provided on all mechanical parts to be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for as long as the original purchaser owns their home.

    General Finish Warranty
    A 5-Year Warranty is provided on all GROHE product finishes (except the InfinityFinishTM) to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship.

    InfinityFinishTM
    A Lifetime Warranty is provided on all GROHE products with the InfinityFinish to the original purchaser against manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. At its option, GROHE will repair or replace any part or finish that proves to be defective in material and/or workmanship under normal installation, use and service.

    To obtain warranty repair or replacement the faulty part or product is to be sent along with proof-of-purchase (original sales receipt) from the original consumer purchaser to:

    4. Damaged by the effects of dirt, limescale or aggressive cleaners.
    This is the exclusive warranty by GROHE, which does not make any other warranty of any kind, including the implied warranty of merchantability.

    This warranty excludes all industrial, commercial, and business usage whose purchasers are extended a one (1) year limited warranty from the date of purchase, with all other terms of this warranty. (See following for commercial products.)

    Commercial Products
    GROHE warrants its products installed in a commercial application to be free from manufacturing defects for a period of one (1) year from the date of acquisition by original owner. Replaced products or parts are warranted only for the period remaining under the initial warranty.

    This warranty is limited solely to the above and this warranty and any warranties implied by state law will apply only for the applicable warranty period specified herein. Also, GROHE will not be liable for any loss, damage, expense or incidental or consequential damages of any kind, whether based on warranty, contract or negligence and arising in connection with the sale, use or repair of the product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of consequential damage or limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.
