7 Questions from the Community
The Grohe 19 492 requires the 35 016 valve.
Is 19492 the correct thermostatic valve for Grohe 28917?
A. The Grohe 19 492 requires the 35 016 valve.
Yes you could use this for that application.
Could I use this for a rainhead and hand shower, I do not have a tub spout? I'm looking for one diverter valve that can selectively supply either the rainhead or Sena hand shower.
A. Yes you could use this for that application.
The Grohe 19 492 would work if you planned on having an non diverter tub spout since this trim has a integrated diverter. The 19 724 would also work if the handshower were going to be the only output. Simply, they both will work but depends on your applications.
Is this the correct product for the Grohe 28 574 Movario or do you suggest the Grohe 19 724?
A. The Grohe 19 492 would work if you planned on having an non diverter tub spout since this trim has a integrated diverter. The 19 724 would also work if the handshower were going to be the only output. Simply, they both will work but depends on your applications.
The Grohe 35016 valve is 5-15/16"W 5-7/8"H.
What are the dimensions of the rough in valve inside the wall (depth, width and height)?
A. The Grohe 35016 valve is 5-15/16"W 5-7/8"H.
Grohe 19 492 can be used with that handshower if you were also using a tub spout since it has a pull diverter. Grohe 19 724 would be a better choice if only using a handshower
Will this fit with 28917 Relexa Ultra Five Hand Shower? If not, which will?
A. Grohe 19 492 can be used with that handshower if you were also using a tub spout since it has a pull diverter. Grohe 19 724 would be a better choice if only using a handshower
The Grohe 19 492 would require a diverter to switch between the main shower head and the hand shower, if you were only using the hand shower as a main shower head then yes, it will work just fine.
Would the 19 492 work with the 28917 Relaxa hand shower used as the main shower head and the non diverter tub spout 13164? What other elements would I need to complete installation?
A. The Grohe 19 492 would require a diverter to switch between the main shower head and the hand shower, if you were only using the hand shower as a main shower head then yes, it will work just fine.
The Grohe 19 492 would work for your main showerhead and diverting to the tub spout, but it wouldn't work for your handshower. To divert water to your hand shower, you would need a second diverter valve and trim, such as the Grohe 19 166 and its valve.
Would this Grohe 19 492 works if I want to have both a hand shower and a non-diverter tub sprout.
A. The Grohe 19 492 would work for your main showerhead and diverting to the tub spout, but it wouldn't work for your handshower. To divert water to your hand shower, you would need a second diverter valve and trim, such as the Grohe 19 166 and its valve.
