A. If you currently have an electrical box over the central part of your vanity (such as for an existing vanity light), then the Eurofase Lighting BR-5DAK should need nothing additional for installation. However, if you do not have an electrical box over your vanity, you will need to have one installed.

My novice interpretation of the spec page is that the lined 2 3/4" refer to the connection, which would require an electrical box to be installed @ an extra $70.00.
A. The 2.75" measurement on the Eurofase Lighting BR-5DAK spec sheet is the lamp's extension from the wall. The spec sheets on our website are provided by the manufacturer, and are not compiled by us. And yes, this light requires an electrical box on the wall in order to function, as do all vanity lights.

I have a central wire (no box); hence, the light must be attached at each side to stabilize. Does it attach at the far ends, also; not the central portion, primarily.
