Emtek Keypad Deadbolt from the Solid Brass Collection

Leave the keys at home with this Emtek Keypad Deadbolt. This lock is perfect if you like to go for runs, walks, have children, frequent guests or if you own a rental home. To use this electronic lock, simply push the Emtek button and turn the thumb knob. In order to unlock the deadbolt you must enter a 4 digit code. These codes can be both created and deleted with ease. Need a temporary code for the cable guy? No problem, simply create a new code for the day and then delete. Each lock will hold up to 20 different codes, allowing you to have different codes for different occasions or guests. In addition to the locking functions, the E1000 has a protective coating to prevent wear patterns and the keys illuminate after dark making code entry a breeze after the sun goes down

This heavy duty electronic deadbolt will fit any door between 1-3/8” – 2-1/4” thickness with a standard 2-1/8” bore door prop. This lock is known for its easy installation and user friendliness. Emtek electronic locks come with two unique user codes, allowing owners to use the lock right out of the box.

  • What is the distance between the deadbolt opening to the bottom of the plate?

    A. The Emtek E1000 electronic keypad deadbolt measures 2-5/8" from the center of the bore hole to the bottom of the face plate. The face plate has a full height of 6-1/8".

No need for Keys Anymore... We love this deadbolt, especially my teenage son, who always forgets keys. We chose Emtek instead of Schlage because it's slim, Schlage has sizable thickness to it. However -- be aware -- IT REQUIRES MORE THAN STANDARD 5 1/2 CTC BETWEEN DEADBOLT AND HANDLE OPENINGS. So, if you are replacing existing deadbolt with this product, it may not fit. We had to drill the 3rd opening for electronic deadbolt 6 1/2 inches higher than the top one. So, now we have 2 deadbolts, but we keyed them the same, so it works for us. Also notice the key opening is horizontal, not vertical, just as the picture shows. August 15, 2010

Emtek Limited Warranty

Emtek Products, Inc. (the “Company”) warrants to the original purchaser that, except for products with Rust, Deep Burgundy, Medium Bronze, Flat Black Patina and Silver Patina finishes, the products manufactured by it (the “Products”) are free of defects in material and workmanship, provided:

  • the Company has been notified within five years of purchase date and has been given the opportunity of inspection by return of any alleged defective Products to the Company, free and clear of all liens and encumbrances, transportation prepaid, accompanied by a statement of defects and proof of purchase; and
  • the Product has not been modified, abused, misused or improperly installed, maintained and/or repaired during such period; and there is no warranty on Rust, Deep Burgundy, Medium Bronze, Flat Black Patina and Silver Patina finishes.

The Company shall, at its option, either repair or replace, free of charge, any Products or part thereof found upon the Company’s inspection, to be so defective, or at the Company’s sole discretion refund the purchase price, less a reasonable allowance for depreciation, in exchange for the Product.

The Company makes no other warranty, and all implied warranties including any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose are limited to the duration of the expressed warranty period as set forth above. The Company’s maximum liability hereunder is limited to the purchase price of the product. In no event shall the Company be liable for any consequential, indirect, incidental or special damages of any nature arising from the sale or use of the product, whether in contract, tort, strict liability or otherwise.
