    A. The Eemax SP2412 may not produce enough hot water for a shower as it is only rated for .5 gallons per minute of hot water. It is made more for a sink.

SP2412 Tankless Water Heater The heater arrived faster than expected from Faucet Direct -Thank you! This 120 V 20 Amp tank-less heater requires the water flow to be reduced to a minimal flow just about acceptable to wash ones hands. It is not a problem with the heater since that is all one can get from 2.4 kW. Just enough to take the chill off the water. So it is best to do all one can to get one that uses more power. I added a disc thermostat on the hot water outlet solidly clamped to a copper pipe. Connected it in series with the thermal cut out in the heater. Then connected the heater to the HOT water side input (not COLD) per the instructions. Thus when the hot water came through, the heater shuts itself off. The heater was easy to instal and is a safe design but I wish I had run at least a 240V 20A supply line - August 1, 2011
