  • What is the actual width of the door itself and the side glass panels?

    A. DreamLine doesn't have the exact measurement of the glass panel, they have the measurement to the hinge and that is 24". They are saying that the SHDR-21467610 glass door is about 24.5"-25" wide.

    A. The DreamLine SHDR-21587610 unfortunately only comes in 72 inch height. I dont believe you will find a shower door to swing in since that is a building code violation

    A. The DreamLine SHDR-21587610 is a 58-1/8" pivot shower door from the VITRO series. The closest door that I could find to what you are looking for is the Kohler K-704310-D3 Bypass Shower Door from the Senza Collection.

  • Can this unit be secured to the tile redi base--which is fiber glass composite--I doubt it would hold any screw---so-- but can it be secured just on the walls where there is 2x4,s that will be it solid

    A. The DreamLine Vitreo Shower Door SHDR-21587610 is attached primarily to the walls via the side mounting brackets. There is no installation necessary to the shower tray (in a supportive role, that is). The side panels are to be caulked to the shower base or threshold, but thise panels are not bearing any weight vertically to the shower base. So in short, yes, it can be installed with a Tile Redi base.

Good quality at great price I couldn't believe the quality of the product. Nice heavy glass and good quality hardware. My only complaint are the directions. They leave much to be desired. Also they should provide some add'l gasketing or clear plastic angle to install were the fixed glass panels meet the walls to make up for existing walls being out of plumb. September 6, 2011
Shower Doors this is a great looking product. It is relatively easy to install. The only thing that I would warn people on is that the door is pretty heavy so you may want some help when your are installing it. The only fault that I found with the product is that the brackets that mount the panels to the wall were not welded correctly and one of them broke during the install so I had to improvise with that. The magnetic seal on the door took a little manipulation to get perfect but it works great once it is set up correctly. I installed the whole thing in just over 1.5 hours. It looks awesome, One note, make sure your opening is measured correctly and is square. If I had not done this step correctly I would have had a lot of problems. September 6, 2011
Great value shower door I was building a custom shower for my master bath that had a standard width, but a taller than average opening. This door was about the only off the shelf model of decent quality that was tall enough for my needs. The only problem was it came only in a chrome finish, and I was looking for a brushed nickel look. Since choices were limited, I purchased the door figuring I could come up with something to tone down the chrome. What I found was the metal parts appeared to be virtually all stainless steel. A light sandblasting was all that was needed to match them reasonably well to the rest of the bathroom hardware. The door system looks great and was a straightforward install. While the entire system is very heavy, the three glass pieces are no problem to handle (with a helper). Contrary to the product description, there is some limited adjustabililty to the mounting brackets. I installed this on a very rough natural stone tile with good success. After a few months of use, everything is working well, with no issues even on the retextured metal parts. A RainX application on the glass has kept water spots to a minimum. This door saved me having to purchase a custom glass door which would have been at least 3X as much. A great value! July 18, 2010

This is Bath Authority LLC's ("DreamLine") exclusive written warranty effective April 1, 2011

This warranty extends only to the original owner/end-user for household use only and is not transferable to a subsequent owner. This warranty applies only to DreamLine™ products purchased from an authorized dealer and installed in United States or Canada. Proof of purchase (original sales receipt) must be provided with all warranty claims. In no event shall the liability of DreamLine™ exceed the purchase price of the unit.

If DreamLine™ shower doors, shower enclosures and shower bases are used commercially, DreamLine™ warrants such products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from initial date of purchase from an authorized dealer, with all other terms of this warranty applying except duration. If DreamLine™ vanities, vessel sinks and shower columns are used commercially, DreamLine™ warrants such products to be free from defects in material and workmanship for three (3) months from initial date of purchase from an authorized dealer, with all other terms of this warranty applying except duration. DreamLine™ Jetted and Steam Shower Cabins are not intended for commercial use and there is no warranty extended for these products for commercial use. DreamLine™ is not responsible for loss of use or profit under any circumstances. DreamLine™ hereby disclaims all warranties for products sold as a dealer or store displays.

DreamLine™ hereby disclaims all warranties for products used outside of the United States or Canada whether expressed or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

DreamLine™ will, at its election, repair, replace with product of equal value or make appropriate adjustment where DreamLine's analysis or inspection of warranty claim discloses any such defects occurring in normal usage within the warranty period. Improper modification or alterations of any DreamLine™ products will void the warranty. Any DreamLine products repairs must be performed by either a DreamLine authorized agent or a licensed experienced professional contractor. This warranty shall not apply to breakage or damages caused by normal wear and tear, fault, carelessness, abuse, misuse, misapplication, improper maintenance, alteration or modification of the unit, as well as chemical or natural corrosion, accident, fire, flood, act of God or any other casualty. Improper care and cleaning will void the warranty. Never use cleaners containing abrasive cleansers, ammonia, bleach, acids, waxes, alcohol, solvents or other products not recommended for chrome or similar finish, glass or acrylic. This will void the warranty. For additional product maintenance instructions please refer to product installation manuals. The warranty does not extend to any non-DreamLine™ plumbing or components installed by installers, end users or by any party other than DreamLine™.
