Can this light be hung with lights facing down?
A. The Dolan Designs 2248 cannot be hung upside down to create down lighting because it uses halogen light bulbs and the heat created from the bulbs needs to be able escape, otherwise the life of halogen bulbs would be very short.

Is the satin nickel as dull as brush nickel? Will the satin nickel look ok with chrome?

Dolan Design bathroom lightening
Purchased this light.
If you like modern you will love this unit.
Disadvantage does not throw off a lot of light - but, I was able to fix that by installing a mirror right below the lighting fixture and the adjacent wall I installed a frameless medicine cabinet with a large mirror. The reflection of the mirrors throws off a lot of light and fixed my inital concern and made the bathroom lightening significantly increased.

Warranty
This limited warranty is the only one that applies to this product and sets forth all the responsibilities of Dolan Designs regarding this product. No other warranty is expressed or implied other than that described herein.
Dolan Designs products and components (excluding lamps) are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the original date of invoice. Any product considered by Dolan Designs to be defective in material, parts, or workmanship will be repaired, replaced, or credited at our discretion. The parties hereto expressly agree that the purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy against Dolan Designs shall be for the repair, replacement, or credit of the defective product as provided herein.
This warranty does not apply to any fixtures that have been damaged resulting of accident, misuse or abuse, incorrect insulations, or lack of reasonable care (neglect). The purchaser shall in no event be entitled to, and Dolan Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages. This warranty does not cover labor charges, shipping costs, installation, or removal without prior written approval of Dolan Designs corporate office.
Unauthorized alterations or repairs made to products will void this warranty and U.L. – C.U.L. listings (where applicable). Improper packaging of products returned to Dolan Designs or damages during transit are not covered by this warranty.
