nice light
shipped fast and in perfect condition. Glass is a little yellower than in the picture - but otherwise looks great.

needs quality control
While I like the fixtures quite well, the ones I received had clearly been opened and sent back by a previous customer. In one case the mounting plate was missing, but my electrician created a substitute. Another fixture was bent, but gently bending it back worked out. A couple others were not aligned well and took some work to make the mount look okay. The rest showed inconsequential twisting on the wires, just enough to show that someone else had rejected them. This sort of fixture does not look good unless the shade is level and the quality control on the metal component holding the shade was inadequate. I observed the same problem in different fixtures in our local upscale lighting store, but it is easier to inspect them on the spot
before leaving the store. These fixtures were what I wanted and were available for about the same price at the local less upscale lighting store, but needed to be ordered and would have come much more slowly than from LightingDirect.com.
Initially I ordered some other fixtures that turned out to be unavailable. I got a call from LightingDirect.com about it in a timely manner and resolved the problem smoothly, so I can say that LightingDirect.com has good customer service.

Looks great in entryway
This was a great experience in buying. The quality and price of the product is outstanding. I have the light installed in my entryway and am receiving complements on it.

This limited warranty is the only one that applies to this product and sets forth all the responsibilities of Dolan Designs regarding this product. No other warranty is expressed or implied other than that described herein.
Dolan Designs products and components (excluding lamps) are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the original date of invoice. Any product considered by Dolan Designs to be defective in material, parts, or workmanship will be repaired, replaced, or credited at our discretion. The parties hereto expressly agree that the purchaser’s sole and exclusive remedy against Dolan Designs shall be for the repair, replacement, or credit of the defective product as provided herein.
This warranty does not apply to any fixtures that have been damaged resulting of accident, misuse or abuse, incorrect insulations, or lack of reasonable care (neglect). The purchaser shall in no event be entitled to, and Dolan Designs shall not be liable for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages. This warranty does not cover labor charges, shipping costs, installation, or removal without prior written approval of Dolan Designs corporate office.
Unauthorized alterations or repairs made to products will void this warranty and U.L. – C.U.L. listings (where applicable). Improper packaging of products returned to Dolan Designs or damages during transit are not covered by this warranty.
