A. The greater the rod resistance, the more force is required to make the bolt fail (break or bend). Bolts of a different thickness and material can have different resistances, so this number gives you a way to compare.

nice hardware I received my order in a timely manner. Product is well built, heavy, and with bright chrome. This IS NOT the cheap stuff so commonly found in Box stores. It compliments the hardware in my 125 year old home. January 5, 2011
