- Independent Volume Control: Dual-control valve trims are what separate Delta showers from the competition. The top, smaller handle controls temperature, while the bottom, larger dial controls the water volume (flow rate). The distinct advantage to this is that you can set the temperature control to a temperature you like, and then leave it, turning the shower on and off each time with the volume control. You’ll never have to fuss with the temperature again.
- Monitor: Delta Monitor showers feature pressure balance valve cartridges, which protect against sudden temperature or pressure changes to keep the water in the shower within a safe +/- 3°F. Monitor valves also feature a high-temperature limit stop that can be adjusted to suit your shower needs.
- MultiChoice Valve: Flexibility is the big benefit of the MultiChoice Universal Valve. Once the MultiChoice rough is installed, future shower function upgrades or style changes can easily be made without altering the plumbing behind the wall.

8 Questions from the Community
Is his the right trim for a regular shower head with hand held shower head next to it which will use a diverter (will only be used one at a time? Is there a matching diverter. Will ta third seperate shower head at the other end of shower (with no handheld) use the same part? Will they use the same valve? What are the prices for these items?
A. This trim has a pressure balanced control knob (controls temperature) with a separate knob for volume (controls flow). The matching diverter, which will allow you to use one, the other or both, is the Delta T11651. They use different valves and their prices, which are dependent on the finishes, are available on their respective pages. Please feel free to give us a call if you have any other questions.
What is the associated rough-in valve for this product?
Is this complete with the valve? I have a tub only, is there a tub spout without the diverter to match this or can I use the spout with the diverter even though I do not have a shower?
We are using this valve trim with the diverter spout (RP52148) and a hand-held showerhead (56713). What do we need to complete our bathtub for the drain/overflow?
This is just the double handle fixture with the trim plate, right? No shower head or valve assembly? What vlave assembly should be used with this?
is the the same trim that comes with T17251? thanks!
How to divert from standard wall shower to hand held - not to operate at same time?
does this comply with california code which states that "Any new or replaced mixing valve in a shower (including over a tub) shall be pressure balancing set at a maximum 120? F"?
