A. Thank you for your question! The Delta 4538 includes a polypropylene pop-up type drain fitting with plated metal flange and stopper cap while the 4538-MPU includes a metal drain with pop-up type drain fitting with plated metal flange and stopper cap.

Excellent Sleak Mini-Spread
Modern and high-profile looking faucet in a 4-inch mini-spread. It's hard to find these babies but it's worth it. It makes your average 4-inch cheaper vanities really pop.
Be careful you have enough lip in back and precisely equal 4-inch hole spreads on the vanity. My vanity holes weren't exactly symmetrical which is fine for centersets but not for spreads. The handles and faucet are very close to each other (within 1/16 to 1/8 of an inch). So you don't want them riding on each other. Plus, I had a rear lip on my vanity so the faucet wans't able to be completely flush as it wasn't able to lay flat. Luckily I was able to jimmy it in and it looks fine.
These are more problems with my vanity than the faucet, but I suspect many people may run into the same problems so I thought a heads up was due.
