  • is this solid metal that's been chromed? I'm looking at this collection but I don't want anything plastic

    A. With the exception of pullout sprays on kitchen faucets and the handshowers all Danze products will be solid bronze with ceramic valves.

  • do I need to use the shower head that matches or can I use my existing Moel shower head with this DAnze single handle trim? Also is the valve specific to this model or can I use my existing valve?

    A. Thank you for your question. You can use your exsisting Moen shower head since it takes the standard 1/2 in. connection. You won't, however, be able to match the finishes unless you have both in chrome. Also, the valves are specific so you won't be able to use your exsisting valve.

    A. Good Afternoon, The D510458T is the trim that goes on the shower wall. The Rough in Valve that you would need for that trim is the D112000BT.

    A. The Danze D510458T is the trim only and the D112000BT is the appropriate rough in valve and it is made available on the next page after selecting the finish you wish for the trim.

  • which valve should be used D112000BT or D1150000BT? thank you

    A. The Danze D510458T can use either rough in the D115000BT just doesn't have screwdriver stops that would allow you to turn the flow of water off at the valve if you had to do interanl work on the plumbing, rather than turn off the water at the main supply.

  • Does this control the flow AND temperature?

    A. The Danze D510458T is the primary pressure balanced valve trim. It does control both temperature and pressure, but not independently. Activating the valve will turn the water on full pressure. Temperature would then be adjusted by turning the handle further.

  • Is this the handle trim that I would need to replace an existing handle in the shower that cotrols temperature (turns left-right) and volume (pulls away from wall)? If not, which one is the right product.

    A. The Danze D510458T is a single handle pressure balance which also mixes the water for thermostatic purposes as well.

Great money saving purchase I looked at the same piece at a retail faucet store. For the same price I would of paid them I got the faucet trim, toilet handle, rob hook and the shower arm. There service was great and I will be using faucets direct as I remodel the rest of my house!!! December 7, 2008
