    A. The Danze D493172 Centerset Cover Plate is only available in Chrome, Antique Copper, Brushed Nickel, Polished Brass, Polished Nickel and Oil Rub Bronze.

  • Will this fixture work with a Grohe Ladylux Plus faucet?

    A. I would suggest you use the Grohe 07 552 if the faucet you are looking at does not come with an escutcheon plate. The Grohe escutcheon is designed to work with the Grohe faucets.

  • Can this be used to cover the non-used holes on a three hole sink and turn it into a one hole sink?

  • I have a three hole sink, have purchased Danze single faucet. Would like to keep one hole free for soap dispenser, would I use the 4" to cover one hole and still have a hole available.

    A. The Danze D493172 will cover all 3 holes. The 4" is designed to cover 3 holes as well, just a smaller spread from center to center.

  • My sink has 3 holes, the outer holes are 4" on center to the center hole and 8" on center with each other. My Pfizer faucet is a single lever for a single hole. Will this plate work with with my faucet?

    A. The Danze D493172 will be long enough and would work, yes.

  • since this product does not come in a stainless steel finish, which color (between brushed nickel and polished nickel) would most closely approximate (match) the stainless steel the Danze D445158 single handle pull down faucet?

    A. Nothing is going to match spot on. What I can tell you is that a stainless steel has a brushed quality to it so if it were me I would probably choose the brushed nickel as opposed to a polished finish.

  • I am using the Danze D405558SS kitchen faucet that is a single hole faucet with the sprayer. The sink I have is 3 hole, will this escutcheon plate (D493172) work if I need to use two of the holes?

    A. The Danze D493172 should work just fine for a the faucet you have and a side sprayer.

  • What is the diameter of the hole?

    A. The Danze D493172 will fit most kitchen faucets, unfortunately Danze does not give the exact measurement at the actually faucet mounts on top of the plate not through it just fitting the supply tubs through the opening.

  • my granite supplier mistakenly drilled my top for a 3 hole application. I have a Dryden single hole faucet. Will this plate work or is the square base of my Dryden too large?

    A. The Danze D493172 would work fine to mount over the holes. Please note, though, that being different brands, the finishes will not match exactly. But it can work with the installation.

I installed this on a stainless steel sink. There needs to be an adapter plate on the under side of the sink as well, in order to support the faucet in a secure position. I made one myself with stainless steel and it works great. April 19, 2011
problem solved replaced old 3 hole with single. Covered old holes and looks great. December 15, 2009
