Finish? I ordered the shower arm with the oil rubbed bronze finish, but I received a bronze finish. Did the factory forget the oil rubbed part? Instead of dealing with a return, I completely disassembled the shower arm, and then painted it a dark brown. I was careful to tape off the connections to avoid making the parts thicker and risking difficulty during reassembly. After the paint was completely dry, I used 300-grit sandpaper to sand the edges to create the rubbed appearance with the bronze showing through the dark brown paint. It looked excellent when it was completed. Reassembly was difficult because the o-rings did not want to seat properly. After several attempts, I gave up and settled for slightly pinched o-rings. There have not been any leaks after 2 months. April 23, 2011
Shower Arm I remodeled my bathrooms and instead of the chrome, I went with the oil rubbed bronze fixtures all around. I am short and needed this so I can adjust the handheld shower that I use. I had one in the chrome and was looking in the big box stores for oil rubbed bronze, but they didn't carry it. I found this on your site and figured it would match my other fixutres. When I got it and the plumbers installed it, it was definitely a bronze and not an oil rubbed bronze. It's in both of my showers now and stands out, but I figure since it had been installed and the boxes are trashed, I can't return it. December 27, 2010
Superior product This shower arm is far superior to anything that a big box store has available. We replaced a light-weight version of this bought at Home Depot, that wouldn't even reliably hold up the shower head. This product is all metal, and very strong. February 5, 2010
