    A. The Danze D457144 is low lead compliant, it meets all lead law requirements for California and Vermont. Every faucet we call low lead compliant could be defined as "lead free" if the faucet has an average lead content of 0.25% or less according the bill AB1953 and S152.

    A. The Danze D457144 is all metal except for the pull out which is made of plastic.

  • What is the Danze D491342 Air Gap/what does it do and should I have it with the Danze Faucet D457144?

    A. The Danze D491342 is a part that connects to your dishwasher so if for some reason it begins to overflow some of the water will be diverted to the air gap. This allows the water that is diverted to go down the sink instead all over the floor.

    A. The water will exit the Danze D457144 at a 20 degree angle. (Basically it will be angled but not much.)

Elegant kitchen faucet This faucet fits our contemporary style and another faucet from the same manufacturer installed in the wet bar. The only disadvantage is lack of switch to spray mode that many other faucets have. Not a big deal for us. Easy, intuitive operation. Delivery was quick and the order was filled correctly. Best Faucet Ever Purchased I am very happy with the Danze faucet. It opens and closes nicely, has a good quality chrome finish and has a very good pressure. The only downside is that it splashes water all over my 9 inch deep sink. Will contact manufacturer on how to possibly reduce pressure. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of this faucet.
