    A. The Danze D454612 base is brass with a finish coating (Chrome, Nickel, etc. The handle is metal and plastic as most pull out faucets are constructed.

  • How can I buy a replacement for the 2 hole mount deck plate on the model Danze D454612, stainless steal finish?

    A. The Danze D454612 deck plate is not available on our site as a separate piece. However, the Danze D493172 is a comparable deck plate option.

Low Lead Single Handle Pullout Kitchen Faucet from the Melrose Collection 2 5 1 1
Poor construction Fortunately I had a plumber install it. The adapter at the hose to faucet connection was loose and leaked. It took 2 attempts with teflon tape to make it stop. There is a lot of slop in the spout so when you turn it there is too much vertical movement. It feels like it hadn't been tightened from below so the whole thing feels loose and wobbly. It also seems hard to pull out the spout and even harder to push it back. Initially it helped to spread out the copper hookup tubes, but it is still harder than it should be. I replaced a 15 year old Kohler that pivoted smoothly and pulled out and went back in in much smoother. However I did pay close to $400 for it when that type of faucet was still fairly new and not many models were available. Of course that was at a retail store and this brand and type of faucet was close to $400 in the retail stores I visited so it is a relative bargain. We do like the looks of it and the spray/stream works fine. February 14, 2010
