Very quiet, maybe I need a bigger fan This fan is wonderfully quiet and it does clear the steam, but not as quickly as I hoped it would. I thought this small fan would work because my bathroom is small (5' x 10'). November 29, 2010
Great! Quiet Fan for Bathroom! I love having this fan in my bathroom. The first time I turned it on I thought maybe I wired it wrong. The truth was that it just starts up really slow & quiet. (About 2 seconds for complete start-up.) I am an Electrical Contractor and this is my "Fan of Choice" if cost is not a limiting factor you should not have any complaints about this unit. I purchased mine a few years back for around $90 but lately I haven't seen it for less than $100 locally. Sure it vents to a 6" which has been less common in my experience, but I still have plenty of air movement after I adapted mine back down to a 4" insulated duct. I use mine for moisture and odor control and it works very well. This fan truly is quiet. It might not be the absolute quietest on the market, but it is not far from it. For those who hate to turn on a bath fan for fear of announcing to the world that there was an odor accompanying their business inside, this fan will keep it a secret. Also you won't have to worry about waking up family or guests who are sleeping nearby. Of course I wish it was cheaper, but at least this is a fan that lives up to good, solid and quiet performance claims. I've been using mine for for the last 3 years now. A great product! Just Right.... I'd seen other reviews saying that the main thing wrong with this fan is that it's so quiet, you might accidentally leave it on all day. Not quite to that level, though I suppose if you're in a noisy area.... It's astonishingly quiet, though -- audible by itself, so you won't forget it, but so completely covered by the sound of the shower I sometimes have to double-check that the switch is up while I'm showering. Clears the room fabulously and quickly. One thing to note, though -- there's no way I found to mount this fan from inside the casing. The spec sheet tells you what size hole you need for the fan, but doesn't allow space for the projections off the case that are above the ceiling. Plan on cutting a larger hole than the spec sheet says you'll need and patching the ceiling once the fan is in -- otherwise, you'll just get frustrated by constantly having to cut it "just a little bigger." One Year Limited Warranty

Broan-NuTone warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its products that such products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

During this one-year period, Broan-NuTone will, at its option, repair or replace, without charge, any product or part which is found to be defective under normal use and service.THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO FLUORESCENT LAMP STARTERS AND TUBES. This warranty does not cover (a) normal maintenance and service or (b) any products or parts which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improper maintenance or repair (other than by Broan-NuTone), faulty installation or installation contrary to recommended installation instructions.

The duration of an implied warranty is limited to the one-year period as specified for the express warranty. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

BROAN-NUTONE'S OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT BROAN-NUTONE'S OPTION, SHALL BE THE PURCHASER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY.
