  • Is this a timer as well or just to vary speed? If not, do you have a switch with a timer for use with the Broan QTXE110S?

    A. The Broan 57W is only a variable speed switch, there is not a current switch which has a timer on it.

    A. The Broan 57W cannot run a fan and light independently.

Check your application This switch is fine, but not for the Broan 12C, which has a motor operated outside door. When the power is reduced to the fan, the door closes, rendering the fan useless. We ended up installing a standard on/off switch. July 4, 2011
Great Noise Solution We replaced our four bath fan switches with the variable speed switch. Installation was a snap, quality and appearance excellent and the noise factor was significantly improved. June 19, 2011
Perfect design This variable speed control (the white version of the 57 control; 57V is ivory) looks and performs perfectly in every way. Notice that it requires a wallplate with a Decora hole; it comes with a 1-hole wallplate, but if you're installing it in the same box as one or more other switches or outlets, you'll need to get a multi-gang wallplate with a Decora hole for the 57, and of course with the matching color. This control works with any exhaust fan, but not with ceiling fans. October 30, 2010

Excellent Product, Great Price This is a great product with easy installation. It is not bulky like a dimmer that takes up all the room in your electrical box. I highly recommend this for a powerful fan as you can control the speed. It is variable speed also, not just high and low. We use it on high to remove excess hairspray for my wife, use a lower speed to remove steam during a shower. We are very happy our sales associate recommended it. We will be installing these in our other bathrooms as well. February 26, 2010

One Year Limited Warranty

Broan-NuTone warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its products that such products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

During this one-year period, Broan-NuTone will, at its option, repair or replace, without charge, any product or part which is found to be defective under normal use and service.THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO FLUORESCENT LAMP STARTERS AND TUBES. This warranty does not cover (a) normal maintenance and service or (b) any products or parts which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improper maintenance or repair (other than by Broan-NuTone), faulty installation or installation contrary to recommended installation instructions.

The duration of an implied warranty is limited to the one-year period as specified for the express warranty. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

BROAN-NUTONE'S OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT BROAN-NUTONE'S OPTION, SHALL BE THE PURCHASER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY.
