  • will this unit fit inside a 2x4 wall

    A. The Broan 507 will fit between 2x4 studs, take a look at the installation sheet and it shows a complete installation diagram.

  • Housing Adjusts To Fit Walls From 4-1/2" To 9-1/2" Thick... does this include intermal sheetrock and external sheeting and siding?

    A. it will fit any wall with in that thickness so if the wall is with in those dimensions including the sheeting and siding

  • if this is used in kitchen, does it have a filter for greasy smoke? there would be same problem in other type smoke

    A. The Broan 507 is not equipped with a filtration system. It will only pull the air (and cooking smoke) out of the room where it is installed.

  • Do you have this product with a metal cover?

    A. The Broan 507 unfortunately isn't available with a metal cover.

  • Does the 507 have any type of backdraft capability or will dirt and insects just have a good time when it's off?

    A. The Broan 507 has a built in damper door that opens and closes when turned on and off.

Okay purchase The fan for the most part is okay but the clip that holds the chain to the door is flimsy or weak and after using it for only a few times the clip that holds the chain broke. I redesigned the clip that holds the chain to one that is more sturdy and it has been working fine so far. April 22, 2011
nice product I bought this fan as a retrofit for old brick townhouses in baltimore city. After some custon metal work the fan worked nicely just measure everything first n make sure you order correct size n folllow direction and you'll be enjoying your fan soon thanks for reading. July 2, 2009

One Year Limited Warranty

Broan-NuTone warrants to the original consumer purchaser of its products that such products will be free from defects in materials or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original purchase. THERE ARE NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

During this one-year period, Broan-NuTone will, at its option, repair or replace, without charge, any product or part which is found to be defective under normal use and service.THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT EXTEND TO FLUORESCENT LAMP STARTERS AND TUBES. This warranty does not cover (a) normal maintenance and service or (b) any products or parts which have been subject to misuse, negligence, accident, improper maintenance or repair (other than by Broan-NuTone), faulty installation or installation contrary to recommended installation instructions.

The duration of an implied warranty is limited to the one-year period as specified for the express warranty. Some states do not allow limitation on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.

BROAN-NUTONE'S OBLIGATION TO REPAIR OR REPLACE, AT BROAN-NUTONE'S OPTION, SHALL BE THE PURCHASER'S SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY.
