4.3 Amp, Roof Mounted Powered Attic fan - Model 355Br

Too often, attic ventilation is overlooked, not to mention ignored as a place for energy savings. That’s where Broan solutions make sense. Consider this: air trapped in your attic can easily reach 150 degrees or more. With Broan ventilation solutions, it’s still a full 60 degrees cooler in the attic on a 90 degree day. That’s why attic ventilation is critical to making any home more comfortable while lowering energy costs. Air conditioners can run less and won’t have to work as hard. Humid, stagnant air can be removed, drawing fresh dry air across the surfaces. Your attic can be drier and cooler – the perfect tools to help fight potential moisture damage. Each PVC dome is available in three popular performance ratings along with two metal dome models. Select one that best suits the attic size and shingle color.

Product Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooler now This vent does a great job of keeping heat out of the attic. Runs quiet. The first one we received was bent and rattled. Venting Direct promptly sent another.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good piece of equipment The fan works as advertised. Easy to install if you have basic home repair skills. The only issue I have is with it's ability to cool my attic. It tends to maintain the temperature rather than bring it down quickly. This may be due to how my attic is vented and the placement of the fan though. Overall a good product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Keeping the house cooler! We had a Broan vent fan put into our house when we had the house built 15 yrs ago. Not sure what happened to the fan whether the blown insulation got into the motor windings or what, but it stopped working before summer of 2010. We right away noticed that the house took longer to cool off with the air conditioner and the upstairs was always warmer. We installed this new fan and we are back to better living conditions upstairs and the air doesn't run as much. Great investment to keep the attic cooler. Venting Direct had great service and fast delivery!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product I purchased this product to use the insides to replace an existing Broan installation where the motor had failed after many years. I didn't want to replace the dome since the roof shingles are pretty new. Everything fit exactly and with the thermostat now integrated with the motor (which is slightly more powerful than the one it replaced) and the mounting braces the install was completed in very little time. The unit works great and really helped cool the house down when the high heat (high 90's and low 100's) came just a few days later. The motor is quiet and if it lasts as long as the one it replaced it will be around and doing it's job for a long time to come.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Don't know how effective it will be..I need to install more intake ventilation yet. However, it is produces more noise than I had hoped

Rated 4 out of 5 by from cooling down really works This fan was a replacement for one that burned out after 6 years , so i did not need the brown cover. Now even tho this model was the same as the replaced one, the housing is just a bit larger and the blades were hitting the the sides of the wall. My installer used his sawzall to trim some wood away and all was good. Believe me, you are able to tell the difference when the fan is doing its job. When going up the stairs you don't hit that wall of heat. What I was told was to go up in the attic and every year or so use a degreaser to wipe down the blades. I am in a semi attached home and the fan is on a down slope angle so I would have to sit on the floor and reach up to clean. A bit of a job at 73.
