7 Questions from the Community
Is this silent or do lower sones be the unit will be more quiet?
Are both bulbs heat bulbs or is one heat and the other light?
Can this only be installed in a shower?
Do you have to use a heat bulb in this unit? Would I be able to use a fluorescent bulb instead?
Does this unit provide forced-air heat (does it have heating elements)?
The Broan model I have is installed in the bathroom ceiling just outside the shower. It has a fan that runs as soon as the switch is turned on. Is the purpose of the fan to distribute the heat provided by the lamps or to provide ventilation? (I have separate ventilation installed as well.) Is it possible to use only the heat lamps without the fan? I thought that the warmth from two 250 watt heat lamps would be sufficient but I'd like more warmth in the winter.
Can this unit be wired to a triple switch? One for the fan, and a separate switch for each bulb (one infrared, one fluorescent), to control them all independently?
