  • The American Standard R120 will work with the T385.501 trim. The satin nickel finish would be the closest to brushed nickel that American Standard will make.

Which trim sets use the R120? I was looking for the symphony in brushed nickel, but would be fine with anything that is brushed nickel and compatible with the R120.

  • The American Standard R120 set screw needs to be removed with an Allen wrench. The set screw is located on the underside of the handle. The safety stop on the cartridge is where you adjust the water temperature. Zero is the hottest.

How to remove the handle from a T675.500, what type of set screw is it? Also how to adjust the R120 for more hot water. The builder put in this unit and I have no documentation on it. Thanks Ray

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this valve. Not all manufacturers sell products with bot the pressure and temp adjustments. This it the second one I have installed.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from POOR QUALITY Installed in our bathroom shower and immediately dripped. Called American Standard and they told us to clean out the pressure balancing valve. Found brass shavings that came from poorly manufactured valve body. Put back together and still dripped. American Standard sent us two replacement cartridges and pressure balancing valves. The faucet still drips. Valve is made in Mexico. We used to always buy American Standard faucets. Will never buy their products again.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Volume Control This is one of the few valves on the market that provides volume control on a Pressure Balance valve at a competitive price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fine shower control This valve is part of a shower control that is the simplest and easiest to use and most pleasant to the touch. You simply lift the handle to get volume, and it is set where you had the temperature last ? no gripping, pulling or turning. It could not be simpler or easier to use. And they are easy to clean. We love them!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Fixture I've always liked American Standard. Not much more expensive than the true "el cheapo" garbage out there, it seems to last for more years and under conditions that would bring others to their knees. Great products.
