Reverse Direction
craigpv2d - Big thanks for the easy to follow instructions on reversing direction to turn off. I thought I had to buy different part until I saw your comments. It works! Thanks again!

Breeze to install
Pulled the hot water handle apart looking to find a worn out washer to discover it was a one piece assembly. Searched high and low for the part locally and found the best price and exact part on your website. I rcvd it within a week and it took me about a minute to replace. No more leaky faucet.
Thanks for the great service.

Purchase of replacement parts
I purchased this as a future replacement cartridge as I have 2 similar faucets in my home and wanted to make sure I will have replacement parts for the future, not knowing how long they will be available or how expensive they may be in 3 - 5 years.
Thank you for your prompt service on this purchase.

great parts and service
the parts were a perfect replacement. the leak stopped, but returned about a week later. I've since discovered that the inner part of the fixture is the real problem. the seat has essentially eroded away, allowing the rubber to be pushed aside and leak. looks like a full tear apart/replacement is in my future.

Reversing American Standard cartridges
For those of you who don't know how to reverse the handle rotations on these universal cartridges, here is how to do it. These cartridges have 180 degrees of rotation that are closed in the middle of that rotation. The key is the stop washer with the tab on top of it, that only allows 90 degrees rotation at a time. Once you have the new cartridge(s) installed, but before you have replaced the escutcheon(s) and handle(s), try rotating the stem to see if the rotation is correct. If it is not, first make sure the cartridge is in the "off" position, then remove the tiny spring clip that holds down the stop washer. Then lift the stop washer enough to rotate it 90 degrees to the other stop. Replace the clip and then check again. Rotation should now be reversed and you can finish the assembly of the escutcheon and handle.

drip, drip, drip
Very simple to replace, but within a short time, I noticed a slow drip. Very disappointed, will have to replace again.

Fixing a leak
I purchased these product to fix a leaky faucet. I have three complaints. 1. This was an expensive fix. 2. To fix hot and cold values requires two different products. One that turns left and the other to turn right. Your web site did not clearly distinguish between the two 3. It took a long time to get these parts ( six weeks)
This job fixed one problem and created another. I will probably need a new faucet and doubt I will go with this same product line.
