  • Accelerator 4” flush valve – The flush starts with a piston action flush valve that lifts straight up, allowing water to pour into 4” valve opening from all directions. 1.6 gallons of water enters the bowl in less than a second - three times faster than standard 2” flush valves, and twice as fast as even performance 3” flush valves. The flush is quiet, too.
  • Everclean Surface – Using the antimicrobial properties of silver (the precious metal), Everclean Surfaces inhibit the growth of bacteria, mold, and mildew. The super smooth, baked-in, mirror-like surface not only eliminates unsightly rings, but also helps repel toilet messes.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor design I am happy with the overall performance of the champion 4 toilet. What is troublesome is the tank/bowl seal design. The rubber seal between tank and bowl is so thick it makes it very difficult to get the tank to install correctly. If you try to do it yourself the tank will always end up tilted forward and not sitting squarely not the tank legs thus allowing the tank to rock forward and aft. You would have way over torque the tank bolts to get the tank square thus possibly causing the tank to crack. I contacted American Standard customer service about this (I thought maybe I had the incorrect seal.) I was told this is normal just have to put continuos rearward pressure on the tank as you tighten the bolts. Also said its important to tighten the bolts evenly I.e. 1/4 turn at a time. "Are you kidding me" take a toilet which is installed in a bathroom that has a closet sized enclosure for the toilet get a 2nd person in there with you to "put continuous rearward pressure on the tank" while you climb around them to tighten each bolt 1/4 turn at a time or try to get a 3rd person in the water closet to tighten the other side with you. So if it requires 2 to 3 people the install the tank!!! Also the flush lever arm is made from plastic you would think with a $200 plush toilet they could at least use metal parts for the flush lever!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from American Standard Champion 4 2002.014 These parts, the 5311.012 (wood seat), the 4266.014 (tank), and the 3225.016 (bowl), together form the American Standard Champion 4 2002.014. We are completely satisfied with this unit. The flush is very strong, the "comfort" height is good, the unit is sturdy. If you are replacing a standard height toilet, you may need a longer water connector from the wall to the tank...we did. Also, the wax that sits between the bowl and floor is not included (as it is in the big box hardware store units), so a run to the local hardware for parts before starting installation is a good idea. We wound up making two runs to the store, one for the wax, then oops...another run for the extended water hose.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from works flawlessly I bought the Champion 4 set up recommended by Consumer reports and have had it for a couple of months. It has worked flawlessly. One of our previous toilets used to overflow frequently. Since being replaced, we haven't had one issue. I would definitely recommend this product. The one thing that was confusing to me was that there were so many different types of Champion 4?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Champion 4 Toilet Tank Tank lever is kind of cheap, so I replaced it with one that matches my faucets. Other than that, I am happy with this purchase.
