2 Questions from the Community
hi: i just bought this faucet and had it installed yesterday. the plumber told me not to bang it around (i think he was referring to the pull out part) as it is made of plastic. i'm not sure if he was talking about the spout that pulls out or the button the switches from stream to spray. i thought the whole think was metal. can you advise please? thanks.
A. Per American Standard the body of the faucet is a brass construction and the hose is nylon reinforced. Your plumber was probable stating "bang it around" in reference to the weight on the hose that counter balances the pull out. If its contually "banged" against the under part of the sink, that can causes the weight to move down the hose and will need to be adjusted to help keep the pull out in place.
Can I replace the soap dish with a soap dispenser? Thanks.
A. On this particular model it looks like everything is welded together on this centerset piece. There is another model which is the 4101.350 that is just the dispenser and the faucet! You could then add a second dispenser to the mix.
