  • Is this the kind of hood that connects to a round pipe above it?

    A. The Air King AV142 has several options for ducting and it will accept a 7" diameter duct venting out of the top of the range hood.

  • Does this 42 inch range hood have the vent on the left side?

    A. The Air King AV142 is only capable of venting upwards or toward the back.

  • How does the 7" pipe attach to the hood? Does it insert into a collar? Also, what side does the electrial connection enter?

    A. The Air King AV142 uses model E-22a or RDC7 Duct Collar for attaching the 7" pipe. When facing the front of the unit, the wiring will come in on the right side.

Nice economical range hood The range hood that i recieved proved to be a perfect match for what i wanted. Not only was the price just right, but it was sold in black. The shipping was cheap and i came to my door in 3 or 4 days. Much better then the special 42 inch order and 2 week wait that home improvement stores would have subjected. Plus, only a third of the cost. Very happy with this purchase. I would recomend it to anyone. June 1, 2009

EFFECTIVE FOR ALL AIR KING PRODUCTS SOLD AFTER JANUARY 1ST 2010

WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS: This product is warranted against defects in workmanship and/or materials.

HOW LONG THIS WARRANTY LASTS: This warranty extends only to the original purchaser of the product and lasts for one (1) year from the date of original purchase or until the original purchaser of the product sells or transfers the product, whichever first occurs.

WHAT AIR KING WILL DO: During the warranty period, Air King will, at its sole option, repair or replace any part or parts that prove to be defective or replace the whole product with the same or comparable model.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: This warranty does not apply if the product was damaged or failed because of accident, improper handling or operation, shipping damage, abuse, misuse, unauthorized repairs made or attempted. This warranty does not cover shipping costs for the return of products to Air King for repair or replacement. Air King will pay return shipping charges from Air King following warranty repairs or replacement.
